Pin cushions r us

Ouch! Today has not been a great day so far. I've not been sleeping well in 2008, not sure why. Maybe it's wedding jitters (har har). Last night was particulary bad and I only got broken sleep. This morning I parked in our visitors car park so that I could easily move my car at lunch, only to be told to move it into the staff carpark - which meant I had to get a load of people to move their cars at lunch to let me out :( Then my blood test this morning was delayed as my nurse was ill and they put all her work onto another nurse.


Finally I've just experienced what a pin cushion must go through. I'm back in hospital getting my 3rd round of infliximab and my nurse tried putting the little do-hicky into my vein. She stuck it in one and it hurt like hell and then she told me that it hadn't worked and so had to try a new one. Sadly my stupid brain then went into panic mode and I started sweating and feeling ill. So I had to calm myself down. After 5 mins she tried another vein in a different arm, only for this not to work either. Queue my body going mental again :(

Thankfully she got the third one to work. I could never be a druggie!

Not all been bad news though. Stefanie's year are organising a trip abroad in the manner of what we did the past 2 years. They needed to make the numbers up and so have invited us along. Very exciting! I just have enough holiday to take it off. We're planning on going here which looks absolutely amazing! Wonder if I can pass this off as our honeymoon to Babs ;p

Tonight I'm going to play my 3rd ever game of poker, so that should be exciting. We only play for £20 each, which is enough to make you nervous but not enough to make you lose friends.

We booked our flights to Oz the other day, we've picked Singapore Air as they have a great reputation and going via singapore is the quickest route. We also get to fly on the Airbus (A380) for 2 legs which should be fun. We've already picked our seats up on the 2nd deck. We're also flying with my second love, little Niffs. It's going to be excellent.

Right my arm is sore from all the needles, so i'm putting the laptop down now
