A good weekend.

Started in a great way, with Stefanie's year almost getting a clean sweep of exam passes. Only Dougie missed out, however he passed his 2 resists - the important ones to pass - so it wasn't all bad news. With an average pass mark of 80% you expect some fails, so it was excellent that they all bucked the trend. So we went to celebrate on Friday night with drinkies at the Isaac and then tasty goodness at Ask. By the time we had finished I had to race to catch the last train home.

Friday was also the day when I was reunited with my baby :) It's the first time I have had the opportunity to take my shiny new lens (Canon 10-22mm) for a spin, so on Saturday I went down to Cambridge to take some shots:

Does that shot look natural? I tweaked the vibrancy a bit to make the colour more punchy.

Another one of the same trees:

No tweaking on that one, you can see the difference in the greens.

The reason I was in Cambridge was to photo the girls office row team as they took part in the Cambridge winter race. I took about 50 odd photos, however most were blurry. I really need to learn how to take photos ;)

A couple of nice ones from the set

Saturday night we went round to Phil's where we experienced fondue - swiss style. Stefanie had this foreign looking contraption that was basically a hot plate with mini frying pans. By mini I mean something that was about 2 inches square. You then built your own food, the only rule was that it always needed to topped with a big chuck of cheese. Then when you had prepared this you stuck it into the device and the cheese melted to produce an exciting result.

We then played Die Schindler...which is actually our non-pc name for Settlers . After a couple of games of this it was about 1.30am and we called a cab to head home. We needed the cab as we had consumed about 6 bottles of red wine between us. As much as I love my red wine, I do wonder if I drink too much of it sometimes ;p

Today has been spent doing chores :( Je n'aime pas chores :( But at least the house is now clean for a Uni friend of mine, Gurj, who is staying with us a couple of days next week.

It's going to be an exciting week this week. Monday Gurj arrives, Wednesday I have another round of Infliximab, Thursday we have a poker night, Friday is our work Christmas party and Saturday I'm heading back to Liverpool.

Splendid.
