Infliximab time!

I'm currently sitting in a private room (thank you pwc insurance!) in a hospital. My left hand has a needle in it, which is connected to a drip containing Remicade (aka infliximab) and some saline.

I can't ftp to upload my photos atm, but will do so when i get home. It's really quite hard typing with one hand.

The process takes 2 hours and then I need to wait another 2 hours to make sure no unpleasentness happens. The chemotherepy nurse who administered the drug is very nice indeed. Especially as I had a mild panic attack as it started, which almost made me faint. I felt nausious and started to sweat buckets! But she game me some hydrocortizone, spoke soothingly and i stopped panicing.

It's a painless treatment, well except for the needle throbbing a bit in my hand. I actuallly can't feel anything.
The little book has advised me i'm more susceptible to infections when i'm on this drug, so I have to be careful around sick people - though she told me not to quarantine myself away from people. I'm definately enjoying the privacy, and as i won't be getting them all on private i'm enjoying it whilst i can!!
